TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CHEF CONNECTOR.com1) These Terms and Conditions of Business are between CHEF CONNECTOR.com and the Employer Client (hereinafter called the "CLIENT") and are deemed to be accepted by the client by virtue of an annual subscription of engagement (which term includes employment or use, whether under a contract of service or for services) of an applicant introduced by the CHEF CONNECTOR.com site.2) The client agrees: a) to pay the fee of CHEF CONNECTOR.com upon signing up an account. 3) The fee payable to CHEF CONNECTOR.com by the Client for the introduction of an applicant is £149 per annum and this fee is reviewable on a yearly basis.4) Introductions are confidential. The passing on of an introduction to another employer which results in an engagement renders the Client liable to payment of CHEF CONNECTOR.com's fee, in full. 5) CHEF CONNECTOR.com endeavours to ensure the suitability of an applicant introduced to the client. In each case references etc will be taken up and checked, but owing to distances involved, not every applicant can be personally interviewed by us. The Client shall notwithstanding satisfy him/herself as to the suitability of any applicant and shall take up references provided by any applicant and/or CHEF CONNECTOR.com before engaging such applicant. The Client shall be responsible for obtaining work and other permits, for the arrangement of any medical examinations and/or investigations into the medical history of any applicant, if required and satisfy any medical and other requirements or qualifications required by law. 6) CHEF CONNECTOR.com shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss of expense suffered or incurred by the Client arising from or in any way connected with CHEF CONNECTOR.com seeking an applicant for the Client or the introduction by CHEF CONNECTOR.com to the client of any applicant or the engagement of any applicant by the Client. It must be understood that on your acceptance of an applicant, you are the employer and not Chef Connector.com. CHEF CONNECTOR.com ACTS ONLY AS AN AGENCY OF INTRODUCTION. 7) No variation can be made to these terms without the written consent of a partner of CHEF CONNECTOR.com. 8) Late cancellation: should a chef/cook be cancelled without 48 hours notice, the chef reserves the right to charge a full fee of a full day plus VAT.OUR INTRODUCTION FEES ARE PAYABLE ON ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION. All payments thereafter are solely between the Client and the Chef(s). It is therefore the responsibility of the Client to check whether the Chef is registered for tax purposes, for example the Chef’s UTR number or PAYE reference.PLEASE NOTE: Under this arrangement we are not running the payroll, the temporary person must be paid through your books under the PAYE scheme, as with your other staff. We must advise you not to accept self employed status without direct authority from the Inland Revenue, or without a UTR number from the HMRC. All subscriptions are non refundable.
